Saturday 28th January – bike *** Levington for a picnic – mainly cloudy and chilly.

Despite being cloudy and chilly Mag and I headed out on our bikes for a picnic at Levington, taking the High Road to Trimley Churches to see the snowdrops with the dafs nearly in bloom too. With a tail breeze we whizzed along the side of the A 14 quickly arriving at our seat near Levington Church with fantastic views down to the River Orwell with loads of deer grazing in the field below, just lovely:) After a top picnic, it was too chilly to stay too long we took the lane back spotting a couple of Muntjac deer near the entrance to Levington marina. It was then down Morsten Hall Lane taking footpaths and bridle ways back to Felixstowe with the highlight being some gulls seeing off a buzzard. Home for a warming cuppa and biscuit:)
